Hello! So I have been dedicating my time mostly to training for my new serving job! They take it pretty seriously, I took a class, last week, learning all the food and what not. And this week I followed servers around. It's a chain restaurant, I don't want to say which one it is because I don't want to be on their radar. haha. But so far it hasn't been too bad! It is a lot to remember but I that's something I'll have to get more comfortable with over time. I have to take a test on Saturday, which is slightly ridiculous, but I can understand why they'd want to be sure you understood what's going on.
I'm happy to be making money again, but being a server is exhausting, and it's not exactly how I want to make my income.
I haven't been able to do too much artwork recently, but I finally printed some of the pretend wedding announcement cards for my friend. Let my reiterate, they are not real. I just wanted to see how I could communicate with a "client" and produce something that they'd like.
It was definitely a learning process, and I understand a bit more how I would go about producing the final product, it would definitely be something I'd want to do professionally. For some reason, these were really hard to photograph. The base layer is bright pink, and then the second layer is navy blue.
I have attempted to make my dish towels presentable. I wanted something clean and simple, and I think I successfully did that? So far I've really enjoyed making these, I need to learn patience, to let them dry, it takes about 5 days for them to be completely dry. I've washed a couple and the ink doesn't bleed, which I am very surprised by, but the pattern does a fade a bit, which is expected, it gives it more of a vintage look.
So if anyone wants some dish towels, hit me uppp!
I also bought plastic sleeves for my little prints, and took a photo of a little random christmas pig I printed. I was surprised how a plastic sleeve can so easily make a product fancier. haha.
But other than the stuff I have talked about, not much else is going on, Moochie's doing well, her appointment is on November 30th, Toffer is also doing fine, he might be getting fatter. He must be learning from Moochie, because he is becoming more of mooch. I may be to blame for that...
Kevin is also doing well! He's still enjoying the work he's doing, he got a car! That's about it!
Thanks for reading! And buy a cat print for someone for Christmas!
