Well Spring has officially sprung! It's around 40 degrees, and the snow is melting and I am so happy. Especially about the snow melting around my parking spot. I was getting really tired of slipping every time I tried to get in and out of my car.
I got a library card! I forgot how awesome libraries are. The local library has the Thomas Keller cookbooks. I got the book Bouchon Bakery, and the book is incredible. We made muffins.
Mmmmuuuuffffinnnnssss! We had to make the batter the night before, you have to let it rest over night to keep the muffins moist. And it worked! They were very good and not at all healthy. I think we're gonna try and make croissants!? That will be interesting. And I definitely want to make his devil cake recipe.
Now the opposite of muffins, health and exercise! I've been doing pretty well, (minus the muffins haha) I've been exercising everyday, cardio and toning. And I bought some athletic gear. I bought the shoes so I could get a free yoga bag and yoga mat. It was totally worth it.
Here are the videos I've been doing. They're not super hard and she gives the option of a beginner move or an advanced one. It makes you sweat and tones you up.
I am also doing both of these blogilates challenges.
Now on to my artwork! My dad suggested a scanner app, which is awesome and does exactly what I need. It's called scannable. I scanned all my frogs, snails and mushrooms. And my lovely friend Dana, showed me a way easier way to outline my images.
One of the few things I learned from graphic design is start your pattern in black and white and then add color. I really like the pattern and the way the images look. Hopefully with color it'll excel more as a pattern. I started working on that today but I'm not ready to show that yet.
Hopefully you're having a great week and enjoying the nicer weather!
Thanks for reading!
