Well started the first week of school! I am only taking one class but I plan on working a lot to you know, have money and live.
Finally took some photos of my cards and put them on the etsy site.
Which I kind of have a problem how Etsy just shares that you have no followers and that you've only made one sale. Thanks for that. I have no idea how you get people to follow you, I feel like I am back in high school trying to make new friends, which I am awful at.
But I just gotta keep going thru it.
I'll make friends...eventually. haha.
I love, LOVE, the pumpkin and pig, I think they came out really well. I like the celebratory glass but something seems off with it, and I like the willow tree but I made it really small, and it's suppose to be a sympathy card, and I feel like some people would want to maybe write more than three sentences in the card. But who knows. haha. I also should get smaller envelopes for those specific cards, but I can only buy 100 in a pack, so that's 100 small envelopes for like 6 prints of this card. This is my dilemma. I guess I could make more small cards.
I am working on my school project also, it's going to be a three layer linocut, and I am quite nervous about it, my mind can't entirely process layers, that's why silkscreen is my weakness.
BUT PRETTY MUCH
my project is a zoom in on the desert ground. I saw a photo that was an aerial shot of the desert and it had flowers coming out of the cracks and I just thought that was really cool, that somehow flowers are able to come out of the cracks and survive.
Of course I needed to add my touch to it so I added a lovely tarantula, snake and lizard. I will probably add some ants.
And omgosh, registering this will be such a bitch.
other than my little complain session I am excited about the project, excited to be actually using a press again and hopefully make a successful project out of this. I mean I only have one class to focus on, so I feel like all my projects should be good, HA NO PRESSURE.
Oh and I also found this little gem, while I was searching my name, I didn't know AIR posted this, all the interns did a little show at the end. I miss AIR and the people.
