I'm trying this thing where I eat clean, exercise and drinking LOTS of water. I just read something where women need to drink 91 ounces of water, which is a lot, for me at least. So I bought a 32 oz. water bottle, so I'll know when I reach that amount.
It's definitely a lifestyle you have to adjust to, you have to want to eat healthy and want to exercise. But don't get me wrong, I still want cake, french fries, and ice cream, but it's in moderation, a YOLO meal if you will.
Here are a couple health vlogs I follow

Any who, I did a little linocut this week, of an old sketch I did.
I got these little wooden clips forever ago as a stocking stuffer, and I had no idea what I'd do with them, and I finally found a reason! I really like the print, I'm warming up to the texture of the linoleum but I don't know if it's just the way I'm hand proofing it.
I'm getting my press soon! Mid march and I am so excited! I have to figure out where to put it, but that's little detail...
Kevin and I celebrated our two year anniversary this past Monday, can't believe it, but at the same time I can. I've been friends with him since high school and we always had a connection. I'm looking forward to many more anniversaries!
That's all for this week. Thanks for reading!
Hello! I hope you're staying warm. It's currently 3 degrees out, so I am not leaving this house.
It's been a busy week! Not for my art work of course.
Kevin got me roses for Valentine's Day, we just did Thai take out and watched a movie.
This past Wednesday was Kevin's birthday! He turned 24, I bought him a robe, which he liked, but I surprised him with making the Mendl's box and pastries.
I carved the logo out of linoleum, fortunately found pink paper and had red ink. It was really fun to make.
I was really pleased with the end result! They were actually pretty easy to make, the icing was probably the most difficult.
This is half the mess! Icing was literally everywhere, Kevin said they were very good! I would make them again. I wish I had a photo of one of the pastries cut it half so you could see the chocolate filling. I was in the kitchen all day because after that, I made flautas from Thug Kitchen for dinner, which were really good. I suggest everyone try a Thug Kitchen recipe, I have yet to be disappointed by them.

She's a printmaker, mostly works in reduction linocuts. Her work is beautiful, she also has a blog! I've always appreciated this kind of style and reduction printing, I want to try one, some day but I am terrified.
Everyone stay warm! It will be Spring soon...I hope!
Well hello! Thank you for the comments last week about my logo, I tried the single flower thing and I can't seem to make it work, I added a "J" to the original one and that one doesn't really work either.
I made one with just a few flowers and MEH. I don't know, the original one is strong, easy to read and looks like cuts in linoleum.
Again, comments are always welcomed.
Honestly not much else has happened, I was home in Pittsburgh for a few days and I'm actually going back tomorrow for a dentist appointment.
Valentine's Day is coming up! Kevin and I will be making dinner at home. Going out to dinner would be too stressful, and I know restaurants are going to rush you to get out for the next reservation. But we're planning on making a winter vegetable pasta dish!
The recipe is from the beautiful food blog, Not Without Salt, I would love their cookbook. The photos are beautiful. We don't have dessert planned just yet, I was looking at a Thug Kitchen cake recipe but I feel like I need chocolate. haha. And we'll probably just watch a movie, low-key Valentine's Day which is my kind of day.

Her work is so beautiful! And she does everything! Silkscreen, woodcut, she has wallpaper, and fabric designs, and she does book covers.
She's an inspiration to me. And she lives in Scotland, so her life is my goal. haha. Kidding.
